This B12 is a beautiful example of a German-made Buffet student clarinet with an adjustable thumb rest. By looking at it you can tell that it has been well taken care of. The key plating is excellent and the corks and springs are in top condition. The body of the clarinet has very few minor scratches from normal use and no cracks. This instrument was just serviced: taken apart and polished, all new Valentino pads were installed plus it was lubricated and the keys aligned when it was re-assembled. I've found that often it's the small adjustments that make a big difference in how enjoyable an instrument is to play. This one is completely ready for band practice!
I started playing clarinet 56 years ago and these days I restore clarinets exclusively. Over the years I've refurbished more than 1,200 of these Bb clarinets, many of which have been sold here on Ebay. This clarinet comes with a brand new Clark Fobes Debut mouthpiece that compliments it nicely. Also comes with new cork grease and a new reed. The Buffet case has normal wear and protects well. The serial number is 827794. "Made in Germany" is stamped next to the serial number.
