Offered for your consideration is a fine early model Buffet Crampon & Cie. Eb wood clarinet.
Serial # F930 dates it to around 1891
Length without the mouthpiece is 16-7/16"
Probably a high pitch instrument.
Bell is Stamped,
Buffet Crampon & Cie.
A. Paris
W.H. CUNDY
BOSTON
Lower joint, barrel and mouthpiece are stamped,
Buffet Crampon & Cie.
A. Paris
Upper joint is stamped,
Brevetes, something, something, and then the number 5
Cap is engraved,
E.T. Hancock
Newburyport
Mass
Clarinet has not been play tested
and will need an overhaul to be playable
Condition
:
Used.
Body is in good shape for its age.
Has some scratches, dings, and wear typical of a used instrument.
Has a couple of shallow surface cracks.
Keys are tarnished.
Keys, rings, and springs are all present.
Keys appear to function properly
Leather pads are old, and may need replacing.
Parts fit together nicely.
Mouthpiece cap has some dings.
No Case.
