    Description

Hello and thank you for checking out my listing!
THIS IS A PLACE HOLDER AUCTION FOR THE ENTIRE LINE OF SWORDS…PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION
This is an auction for a complete collection of the swords from Final Fantasy VII. All of the swords are full sized replicas made from EVA foam and PVC pipe handles. The material is extremely lightweight, and each sword (even the nail bat) are 100% Comic-Con safe (no metal or dangerous materials). The Buster Sword for example is light enough to hold with one arm while still measuring almost 6 feet long.
I HAVE NOT FINISHED ALL OF THE SWORDS!!! I am diligently working on crafting each sword. I started with the Buster Sword in 2019 and am progressing thru the 16 in-game swords concluding with the Ultima Weapon. As of December 2022, I have completed 14 of the 16 with my current project being the Ragnarok.
Don’t buy those made in china mass produced knock-offs that are pitiful in size and quality, and don’t buy into those heavy-ass 3D printed props that weigh a ton and break easily.
The reason for the price? It’s a joke…who would pay this much for fantastic sword replicas hand-made to completely shock and amaze anyone who sees them? The nostalgia alone could be enough I suppose, who hasn’t played this game and dreamt of owning a few of these?
The last thing I would say is that a lot of my time making props and costumes is invested into unique skills and equipment. For example, in my preparation to make the Ragnarok, I bought what is considered to be the worlds blackest paint, which one doesn’t have knowledge of without significant interest and conducting more than surface level research. This is an aspect missing from any other prop you can buy.
The following is a complete list of the swords in the order of in-game obtainment, which will be the order I produce them. (This list will be updated as I continue to produce each sword):
    1. Buster Sword (remake version)— some tip damage (crinkles) and some uneven lines/depth in the burned in details on blade. This was my first and only sword that I used floor mat foam as I realized how inferior it was to hobby foam.
    2. Hardedge (remake aesthetic, original game size) — includes materia in hand guard slots — there’s uneven depth and sloppy burn work on the Japanese kanji characters on the blade. The graphite tube (swords core) was filled with washers to add weight to the handle but all broke loose, which now jiggle in the blade (cool sound effects!)
    3. Mythril Saber (remake version). Invested in my airbrush here. I purposely slowed my pace on this sword making every effort not to do anything sloppy. I finished it off with some Spectral Chrome by Alclad II which has an awesome color shift effect on the blade edge and hand guard.
    4. Force Stealer (original). My first time using a resin-epoxy to coat the foam. The finish is as smooth as glass and is considerably more durable than the previous 3. This was also where I got a lot of practice on brush/airbrush blending.
    5. Butterfly Edge (hybrid of original and ff dissidia). The best sword edge to date. This time I used 10 coats of Creature Cast on the sword making it extremely smooth. This got a lot of attention across my social media posts.
    6. Rune Blade (original with my own hand guard details). The blade is simple and beautiful, but there are very minor imperfections with the edge chrome. Also several bleedovers where the blade meets the guard. It’s also not 100% symmetrical in the handgaurd junction with the blade and handle. The original hand guard and handle paint theme underwent several revisions.
7 & 8: Yoshiyuki and Murasame (original with my own elements) - I made these two katanas from store bought props. I extended the length, re-shaped the edges geometry, added longer and thicker handles, and focused a ton of energy into the paint. These swords encapsulate my personal interest with Japanese sword making that can be seen in the tsubas, leather wrapped handles, tsuka-maki, and multi-layered hamons.
    9. Nail Bat (remake version) the most detail oriented project to date. I started by making 98 individually sculpted and painted foam nails while staying true to EVA Foam, staying con-safe, and making it look as realistic as possible. The rust ended up looking like dried blood, and it’s a bit more gory than I originally intended, however it received a ton of positive feedback.
    10. Organics (original). This project challenged how I would be able to support a full sized blade without using traditional straight blade cores. This is also where I learned that priming can be done in colors other than black/white/grey to create a unique final-color scheme. This shade of green is also my absolute FAVORITE color.
    11. Enhance Sword (original with hand guard embellishments). Similar to the Mythril saber’s construction but much more durable. The blade suffered some noticeable deformations when I got too aggressive on my grinder, but the paint does well to hide it. The details all around this sword give onlookers so many things to point out and admire that the defects go unnoticed. There’s also 7 different shades of gold paint used on this sword that clearly define the dark recesses and highlight edges.
    12. Crystal Sword (original). A two-handed broadsword constructed the same way as the others. Instead of shaping the blade to a club-like octagonal shape, I wanted to make this more unique than all the others and instead ground in a double fuller on each side. This was by far the most labor intensive sanding and grinding project to date. The paint was done in three parts, the first being a base coat of Color shift paint, then Culture Hustle’s newly released “ICE,” then top coated with Alclad II Holomatic Spectralchrome.
    13. Heaven’s Cloud (original with personal elements). The most robust two-handed straight sword with a customized feather damascus style paint scheme. The edge bevels travel to the middle of the blade which makes it appear incredibly wide. The handle, guard, and pommel were also painted with multiple layers in a “royal pearl” style reminiscent of swords from Game of Thrones.
    14. Apocalypse (original). Due to the shape and decorative “holes” in the mid-line of the blade, I had to use doubled-up armature wire for internal stability. The foam does not wobble, but the handle and blade can be bent out of place. Because of this, I recommend handling this sword only for pictures or display. The sword is quite beautiful, easily one of my favorites.
    15. Ragnarok (original) — Comparison of 2 paints claimed to be “the worlds blackest paint.” The number 1 most requested sword build across all my social media platforms.
    16. Ultima Weapon (TBD)
