relisted due to non paying bidder.  : -(
My brother in law has a wood lathe as he loves to make wooden bowls.  This one as you can see is an awesome bowl/canister shape.  It is hand turned on a wood lathe from one piece of cherry wood.  It is then finished out with a sealer that helps retain the natural cedar color and gives it a nice smooth and soft shine to it.
What a nifty large round bowl/small canister with lid made out of Cherry wood.  Just check out that wood grain and different colors in this piece of cherry wood.  A very pretty piece.  And yes he did a lid for this one also.  Both pieces are from the same part of the tree to be sure the color of the wood does not change to much.  I also want to point out that as can always happen with lids since these are hand turned that it does like to fit on the bowl in one particular spot so you have to keep turning the lid until you get it at it's happy place and in some spots is not as round on the bottom as other spots.  See last two pictures.  :-)   Please note that as always happens as it dries it does have a few surface cracks on the bowl part that does not go through to the inside.  It does have two that did go through to the inside and are about an inch long on the inside of the bowl.  I tried to take a lot of pictures of it so you get a better look at the great wood grain and coloring and yes that nifty design and color change in the wood.  It is just about 5 1/4 inches at the widest point and 4 1/2 inches at the opening at the top and 3 1/8 inches tall with no lid and with the lid it is about 4 3/8 inches tall.   This particular bowl/canister was finished in January
and has been sitting since made to be sure it is completely dry.    : -)  Since nothing has changed in the length of time it appears to be finished drying.  : -)  I normally let the bowls sit for a least 3 months or even longer to be sure they are done drying and that nothing major happens.  Also to be sure that any fractures that appear do not change.  Please note that these bowls are not to be used for food but more for decoration.  Feel free to ask any questions and hopefully someone would like to give this awesome looking cedar bowl a home. Sorry no returns and this does come from a smoke free, pet free home.  :-)
I have listed lots of other cedar bowls and other wooden bowls he has made so see my other auctions.  A few even have lids for them.  One thing to note that the colors may be darker or lighter than what your computer screen shows.  Just thought I would point that out as a possibility.  :-)
Sorry this one had to go priority mail as it weighs 15.8 ounce before it is even put in a box.  It will be well wrapped to keep it as safe as possible during shipping.  : -)

Ebay has changed how the Buy It Now combined shipping works.  What Ebay indicates is "that means buyers must first add items to their eBay Shopping Cart to purchase multiple items with a single payment."  So from what I understand if you want to purchase more than one Buy It Now item it appears you need to add this to you cart, commit to buy and then request an invoice so I am able to combine your purchases in one invoice/payment.
