Maple Burl Bowl Handmade Wood with Natural Live Edge Outer Surface. I make these bowls from a single burl, which I hollow out by hand, using a variety of tools, followed by many hours of sanding. By utilizing powered hand tools instead of turning them on a lathe, I am able to keep the irregular natural shape. The outside is de-barked, but all the natural nodules remain (except for the small patch on the bottom, which I sand flat in order to provide a stable base). Tung oil and lacquer finish. Measures roughly 11 1/4 inches by 7 1/2 inches. Quarter is shown for scale.  Last picture shows a decor suggestion, but the seashells are not included. Condition is "New".
