Description
This is a dual instrument mounting bracket in excellent used condition for Norton slimline featherbed frame twins with speedometer & tachometer from 1963-69. That includes theAtlas 750, 650SS, N15CS, G15CS, G15 Mark II, and 650/99. The small bracket held to it with copper wire is a bit of a mystery. It looks like a combination of the 2 ignition switch brackets I found online for pre-Commando Norton twins. There appears to be an extra hole in the instrument bracket on the right side where the ignition switch bracket would mount. Is this for the last Norton featherbeds about 1968-69 Atlas or Mercury 650? It looks like P11, but is in a flat plane, not L-shaped. Is it for Ranger 750? The flat bracket for Atlas I found online looks longer, narrower, and has a d-shaped hole. It's definitely original Norton, you can tell by the age and the rust.
I really dislike ebay's new classifications for motorcycle & scooter parts. I used to list everything under parts & accessories, motorcycle, antique vintage historic, but that category no longer exists. So if you have a metal bracket that mounts both the speedo & tach on a British bike from the sixties, you can either list it under "other motorcycle & scooter parts and accessories" or place it under "instruments & gauges, instrument clusters" right along with every modern motorcycle. How is anyone supposed to see my ad while browsing? ebay's required and recommended item specifics are ludicrous. I can't relist any of my previous ebay ads without considerable modification. Who's time does ebay waste? Mine for one, and I'm sure I'm not the only seller.
