Each window sash is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a big textured glass lite. This pattern is no longer commercially available, but the most similar that is available today is called, "hammered glass." The bottom window is in excellent condition with no real flaws to report. The top window has a crack in the bottom rail (see last photo). That part was glued and the crack is tight. If you look at the corner of the glass in the same photo, you could see a tiny portion missing. That piece broke off. It's only noticeable from the white-painted side. The glaziers putty which secures the glass on the green side is hiding the break. Otherwise, the window sashes or frames just have the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used, architectural elements. These blemishes will be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted.

Beautiful, antique windows salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  Each window sash is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a big textured  glass lite. This pattern is no longer commercially available, but the most  similar that is available today is called, "hammered glass."
The wooden frame or sash of each window is painted green on one  side and white on the other. We could either completely strip the paint, or prep the surface of the windows for a fresh coat of paint.
