The newer MATTE FINISH caps tend to look smoother and a little lighter than the gloss finish caps, please see photos for reference (the gloss is the darker of the two, but the difference is much less than it appears in the photo.  If you have a preference between the two, please let us know when you place the order, otherwise we will send the gloss.
