Description

Spanish Revival three-piece arched window Historic Hancock Park. Measuring at 94x42 for the center window and 39x90-1/2 each wing
This window was salvaged out of an original 1920s home in the historic district of Hancock Park. It was located in the main living room leading out to the pool and garden area. After removal we noticed that the main window at one point had hinges on the side and we believe was possibly functioning. Through the years The window was made to be stationary and the hinges were covered over by molding. It is very rare to find windows like this nowadays . As these windows were removed and replaced by others as many are throughout time. My favorite part about the Spanish style are the arches that run throughout the house. Considering it’s age this window is in overall good condition it looks as though a tent has been applied to the window that could easily be removed there is some mild damage to the molding on the left wing. There is also a crack in one of the panes of glass on the right wing and a splinter to the side of the frame . The bottom 3” of the windows went into the floor and are unfinished with some mild weathering consistent with age . Tried to include the detail in the photos
All items were salvaged by Eric‘s architectural salvage of LA and are located at 1540 W. 6th St., Los Angeles, CA 90017
