They Shoot Horses, Don't They? PRESSBOOK 1969 Jane Fonda Gig Young Oscar WinnerThey Shoot Horses, Don't They? PRESSBOOK 1969 Jane Fonda Gig Young Oscar Winner
Historic Hollywood Film Memorabilia from Saturday's Toys presents...
an original pressbook created to promote the Academy Award winning film, "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" (1969)
Measures 8.75" x 13.75"; good condition; some clip-art removed, as shown in photos. The pressbook pages are primarily completely with only a few clippings removed.
The film starred Jane Fonda, Michael Sarrazin, Susannah York, Gig Young (Oscar winner as Best Supporting Actor). Jane Fonda, Susannah York, and director Sydney Pollack were nominated for Oscars, but lost out to other nominees.
The film was produced by ABC Pictures Corporation; and distributed by Cinerama Releasing Corporation.
While the film was heavily promoted for "Best Picture", in fact, it wasn't even nominated.
Includes clip art for use by the nation's newspapers. Noted as originally rated "GP" (a nonsensical reference to "Parental Guidance" required).
Well worn at edges; with a few clip art ads previously removed; still nicely preserved for a film recently commemorating its 50th Anniversary year.

Saturday’s Toys and Collectibles
was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and media historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first online specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 15,000 coveted treasures since that time, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers and collectors throughout the globe.
Today, online offerings of archival keepsakes are presented in celebration of the times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately represented by "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a nod to the Sherman Brothers):
"Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
