    Description

Two types of wrought iron interior shutter latches from the 1700's
These are two different styles from a private collection.  Interior shutters and their latches were very important at that time as that was how the windows were secured.  Not complete - these are the latches only in   Rectangular latch measures 5 1/4" deep x about 2".  The other measures 5 1/2" deep x 2 3/4" high on flat end.  In fairly nice condition and showing excellent early blacksmith workmanship -  these are quite attractive.  Minor surface age pitting.  Nice examples of original early hardware from Colonial times.
