PACIFIC MADRONE
is a species of wood like no other and is unique to the Pacific Northwest. Madrone Burl
also known as Strawberry tree or Madrone, Madrone is a beautiful Pacific hardwood with pink and tan colors with an occasional red streak.
Madrone is known for its burl veneer which has many closely packed clusters of knots and swirled grain patterns. Madrone is most often sold as burl veneer, which tends to be quite expensive. Madrone burl is highly prized as a decorative veneer, while Madrone lumber is a very dense and finely-grained hardwood that’s similar in appearance to fruitwoods, and is sometimes used for turnery.
The value of this quality piece will increase with age due to its uniqueness, burl  availability, and size.
This piece has a very natural look so any "imperfections" have naturally occurred and are "Mother Nature's" results. These natural conditions are not considered as taking away from the value of this piece. They are normal for this species of wood. Few light scratches .
