This is a vintage Ash Flash toy play railroad lantern light. Made in Hong Kong,British Empire. The lantern stands about 5.5" tall including handle. It has the original light cover and bulb(s). The light is made of metal and plastic. The bottom unscrews and has a battery compartment. It appears that some of the metal contacts are missing and it does not work at this time?? It may be able to be used for parts or repair? There are no cracks or breaks in the plastic or metal and everthing seems to be intact (other than the contacts inside).It shows wear from use and age. There are some scuff and or scratch marks in the plastic and metal but otherwise appears in good cosmetic condition. I'm not sure how old it is but I'm guessing possibly from the 60's or 70's? I hope that someone else will be able to enjoy the lantern more than me. It will make a nice addition to any vintage toy collection.
