    Description

    Signed limited edition no. 10 of 15 of a completely new autoharp like musical instrument used by the artist/seller in design development. Designed to be a beautiful sounding and easy to play functional instrument as well as to be hung on a wall as a unique, one of a kind, original piece of "musical folk art". Recommended for those with some playing experience.
    12 strings, 10 chord bars, F or C keys set-up, quick release chord mechanism, Single-bar chording option, electric pick-up, dimensions 29.5 x 9.5 x 5, weight 4.5 lbs
    1 key playable at a time
    with mandolin tuners
    (the adjunct key is easily playable by re-tuning 1 string). Many other keys playable dependent upon the position of the moveable bridge, eg., G or D, Ab or Eb, A or E, Bb or F.
    User's Guide included.
    Interchangeable chord guides are used to interpret the chords produced by the chord bars with the bridge in various playable key positions.
    Overall dimensions: length = 29.5 in.; depth = 5 in.; width at top 9.5 in. and at the bottom 6.5 in. Wt. 4.5 lbs.
    Deep body and thin soundboard result in a resonate 6 string guitar like sound. Held upright, with chord bars pushed down at the end (similar to the old Oscar Schmidt 'Guitaro')
    , or on the lap as with a traditional autoharp, or slung with a strap over the shoulder like a guitar.
    { 'Ear'- idescent = a new word to describe a musical instrument specifically designed so that in the standard playing position one's ear comfortably rests against the sound body resulting in a truly ethereal sound sensation.}
    The chords playable in the key of C bridge position for example are: G7, Csus4, F, Fj7, C, Am, G, Em, and Dm. Re-tune 1 string and the chords in the key of F become: Csus, Bb, Fj7, F, Dm, C, Am, Gm and Gm7.
    With the bridge in the key of D position, the playable chords become: A7, Dsus4, G, Gj7, D, Bm, A, F#m and Em.
    Re-tune 1 string and the chords in the key of G become: Dsus, C, Gj7, G, Em, D, Bm, Am and Am7.
    12 common guitar strings ranging in size from 49 wound to 12 plain and tuning from c2 to g4.
    Quick release chord mechanism and chord bars.
    With the chord mechanism removed has the look of a diatonic zither/harp. Single bar chording option.
